The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad is undoubtedly the best management school in the country. It was established in the year 1961 at Vastrapur, Ahmedabad with active support from the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, Havard Business School. It was the second Indian Institute of Management which was established after IIM Calcutta. The institute is consistently ranking on number one position among the premier management schools of India which offers postgraduate programmes in management and agri-business management, fellowship program and numerous executive training programmes. IIM Ahmedabad was the first management institute of India which attained EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation in the year 2008.
