Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata is an autonomous engineering college. The institution mainly offers three programmes, B.Tech, M.Tech, and MCA. The B.Tech programme is a four-year course with 9 branches of specialisation, while the M.Tech is a two-year course with 7 areas of specialisation. HIT also provides a three-year MCA course. The intake capacity of the programme varies for each stream with CSE and ECE have the highest intake of 162 seats. For admission into the B.Tech programme, the candidates must clear either WBJEE or JEE (Main) by CBSE.
